may God stand
Hey, now Bill O'Reilly is skeptical about Bush's reasons for going into Iraq. I don't know how skepticism equates to an outright "Gee, I was wrong, how sorry can I be?" but then, I'm not a Fox correspondent and talk show host. I also don't declare anything a no-spin zone. Except maybe the bathroom, but that's only because you could fall and hurt yourself.

Five hundred American soldiers, and over ten thousand Iraqis are dead. We've been at war for what, two years, now? A little more? And what exactly have we accomplished? Some really bad photo ops of people pulling down Saddam's statue, some pictures of GI's tearing down posters with their bare hands, and..what exactly? Oh, yeah. I forgot. We shot his sons and we captured *him*.

I think next time I'll opt out on the next one. I feel bad for all of this because I voted for him.

Ha! I bet the water in your toilet spins!

Seriously, though, I think Fox News constantly claiming to be "fair and balanced" is a bit like "The People's Republic of China" and their "People's Army", etc. Methinks they doth protest too much.

Actually, it's a little less than a year.

Well, I am not going to confirm or deny the rumors about my toilet water. I don't give that information out to just anybody, bub!

As far as O'Reilly, bah. My husband suffered through a year of listening to him because our boarder loved to watch. And I got to know more about him than I ever wanted to. Truly, Fox's fair and balanced is a bit like the Nationalist Socialist Party protesting that they embrace diversity and racial tolerance, but it does sell air time I suppose.

I'm not at all surprised that Bush's National Guardsman's service records raise as many questions as they answer. There's nothing that the administration's put forward so far that's turned out to be what it was at presentation. I just hope Amerkah doesn't get another four years of him.

It's only been a year? Okay, yeah..it has. But it SEEMS longer.

Hah! Ve haff peektures of your toilet water spinning! :P

I think that even if Bush showed up with photos, signed affidavits and had the population of Vatican City there to vouch for him (with CIA photos, even! Wee!) the DNC would scoff, snoot in the air and ask for more definitive proof.

O'Reilly.. well, he's a yam-head. Any correspondant who sits there and says that he/she/it (sheit?) will apologize if a political administration stretched, folded, spindled, mutilated or otherwise bent the truth needs to go and get that reality check verified.

I still say it's time to go to that nice, quiet, non-political island
        • Re:

Oooo... is that the island from The Lord of the Flies
          • Re:

I think I'd rather it be the island where you can get drinks with umbrellas in them and where there's all sorts of liqueurs in you'd never ever drink otherwise. You know..served in half a coconut, and all that.

O'Reilly's justifying his job, just like Rush. Except Rush thought of the hillbilly heroin idea first, so O'Reilly's gotta do something.

Whether or not his service record shows Bush was AWOL is kind of like whether or not Clinton inhaled. I don't care. I don't. What he's done while in office is scary enough. My apologies to those who support him, but have any of you *read* the text of the two Patriot Acts? Do you know Bush's environmental record? He's scary. We're holding people in Guantanamo, without charging them. We are 'interrogating' people. Is that a nice word for torture? How different is America, in that respect from, say..Burma? Or whatever it's called now..Myanmar, I think.

I guess that island is sounding real good right now. Flies or no flies.
