may God stand
One of those days where I don't have a damn thing to say about anything. And I'm cheerfully cruising on autopilot, thinking, hey it's not so bad, when someone accosts me and says "I've had a hard week, so it's your responsibility to entertain so-and-so online." Hello? Could I have that again, please? When is it my responsibility to entertain anyone? Particularly someone who claims to be a grownup. Even if this person is particularly whiny.

Okay..cattiness aside, it's been kind of a half-assed day. I haven't eaten. I only sorta did my workout. I'm not feeling the urge to put shoes on. Or anything but stuff that covers all the bits. I want to go and read, and put my feet up. But there's a bunch of stuff that needs to be done.

I need housecleaning orcs.

I *want* housecleaning orcs.

Or at the very least, a Harry Potter style working wand.

(sighs)
  • "Or at the very least, a Harry Potter style working wand."

    I second that. :-/
  • re: When is it my responsibility to entertain anyone?

it's necessary for kids to be bored now and then. it boosts their creativity & abilititity to fend for themselves in all sorts of ways (if they come up with something naughty along the way, remember it's for a good cause).

with adults, i don't know. maybe it's too late? maybe their self-entertainment synapses have shrivelled up and died from long neglect? in which case you might as well sell them to the vegetable factory.
  • I always wanted to go to a vegetable factory...
